Here in the developing nation of mine, cheap labour is everywhere that's why u see people here in the total comfort zone. Even middle class people could afford chauffeurs and chambremaids. If u wanna know how cheap these are the average rates for a chauffeur:
PHP 8,000.00 >>USD 167.00 or EUR 138,00/ month
PHP 350-500.00 >> USD 7.30-10.50 or EUR 6,00- 8,60/ day
(Some people here just hire drivers for the day! that's why I placed the daily rates).

Whereas if u want a househelper to do the laundry, house cleaning, and all the house related chores...it's even cheaper!
PHP 3000.00 >> USD 62.50 or EUR 52,00/ month
U can't get labor any cheapppppperrrr than that! But unfortunately my mum fired our maid (a month ago) and our driver (almost a year ago) and now I'm feelin' reality. In less than a year, I already drive on my own and just recently started doing laundry by myself. And now, you see why even middle class kids here can be turned into brats who do not know how to take public transportation? (Well, that was me before...haha). Well parentals here couldn't resist the fact that it is so cheap to maintain a driver and a few maids. Why not live life comfortably if you can?
On the other hand of the situation, it teaches me to become independent (which is perfect for living in Europe or perhaps in Etats-Unis, USA) and rely less on others for your needs. And over these past few days, I've been productive! Despite my insane blogging and spying habits online I've managed to do my laundry and clean my 20 pairs of chaussures today (altho I missed some 5 pairs because I was already tired)!
And if in case you're wondering how many pairs of shoes does a poor child like me own, about 20-30 only. I can't be no male Carrie Bradshaw or Imelda Marcos if you only have 30 pairs of shoes. If I become rich then we'll see! Shown here is my collection of shoes from Prada to Costume National to Gucci to Paul Smith to Tod's to Kenneth Cole to sporty brands like Adidas and Puma and lots of high-street brands (cos poor people offen buy designer knock offs from the high street) and some flea market finds from the souks in Muscat.
Well now I don't care if doing home shit all by your own is tiring or unfashionable but I really think that this is what I'm gonna do once I decide to go to fashion school either in Londres, Paris, New York, or Milan! Did you know even stars like the great and beautiful Jane Birkin does her own laundry?
