Comme d'habitude, the city life has been consuming me and being the perennial escape artist by nature, I'm thinking of a weekend getaway a few hours drive from Manille. But before that happens a weekend getaway playlist is already looping in my head...

So, Why Not?

So, basically... why not? D'après les feigning pretenses in ardour defense of his "aesthetic" chez Saint Laurent, Hedi Slimane has been making me think otherwise. And with the humorous and celebratory of citing of Courtney Love comme muse for his most recent défilé (but seemingly passed of the other way around... avec un air trop sérieux), things could only better when we valorise the negligé/e into the currents of artistic/creative arrogance in fashion. Well, I'd have my way with a cinematic interruption with a bit of the function quotient by means of Pat Solitano (Bradley Cooper) dans Happiness Therapy with a garbage bag worn over his pull. And with my imagined "credibility" comme fashion blogger, this could make more sense. Well, on the side of Pat, as in the film... this rather makes sense as this enabled him to perspire faster while jogging... something I would've followed suit with if I was still living in a pays with temperate climate. At the end of the day, I'd prefer a garbage bag over my pull or my veste de smoking over biting into the currents of self-obsessed pretenses running chez Saint Laurent these days.

I'd like to think of. So, I'd have Sam and Ginger Rothstein taking the lead. But at the end of the day, I couldn't alter my convictions to take Sharon Stone as a serious actress.

A Personal Favourite: La ballade de Raymundo et Jacqueline

The perennially uninspired in me (which stems way back from my retour à Manille de Séoul) has been seeking an impetus to get things here and there these past few days by my own collection of Avedon books in my shelves. I've come to the thought that my obsession with portraits comes a lot from Richard Avedon. En plus, there's also Stephen Malkmus paying reference to Avedon by way of a song from his album, Real Emotional Trash, which somehow canonises my amour for all things Avedon. Enfin bon, going back to portraits, this particular one with Raymundo de Larrain and Vicomtesse Jacqueline de Ribes is a personal favourite upon which page I always go back again and again and again in that Avedon book of mine.

Now, here's something we don't see a lot being exploited aesthetical in the name of men's fashion- fatherhood. So, this finds me strangely hypnotised by a retro and classic feel to this editorial paru dans Madame Le Figaro entitled "Daddy poule" by Alexandre Weinberger. So, in such case virilité finds itself a new context in the name of fashion or should this be referred to as virilité contemporaine?
