This is how things get when I get political... it gets reduced to the "aesthetic." Although they say there's a whole lot of politics that goes into the formation of the aesthetic and I'm not doing this post to run a discourse on that. This time around, I thought of that fascination of mine of how men mix that East meets West sensibility to their dressing. Case in point: Imran Khan and how he fuses traditional attire with a blazer it kind of hits the kind of style radar as to dressing up a dinner jacket with a white djellaba worn with a nice pair of Pierre Hardy sandals. I always live for these clashing mixes probably because coming into terms with Filipino culture is learning to function with an overwhelming mix of cultures.
