I'm rather fancying these colourways at Neil Barrett for automne-hiver 2013. Of course, each time I look at défilés these days, I try to be conscious of their "functionality" quotient. So, as far as that so-called quotient goes, these tri-colour pullovers would come in handy visiting minimalist white-walled galleries (preferably with high ceilings) around the city. And somewhere along the lines, I'd let my pretensions lead myself to pretending that I'm decked in such because I'm supposed to be an artist doing a performance in line with the opening of such and such exhibition. But all the more isn't this pretension directing us into a very modernist sensibility of shameless self-elevation? Modernism may still have a hold of the contemporary Philippine art scene but I guess such domain becomes more interestingly farcical with the involvement of self-obsessed ironic pseudo-artistic types like me. Well, whatever it is, I like these pullovers as they can also be ideal for taking a jog but for the aesthete in me (for the sake of satisfying my canon of aesthetics that is), I opt to be running around in these against the backdrop of white walls. So, perhaps I could do my workout inside the gallery especially if the pieces bore me, non?

I'd imagine these pullovers have a high "functionality quotient". Any would be great with dark slim jeans or trousers.
