Act of the Stripes

As I went out one afternoon, I was in stripes which is something that doesn't happen so often. I fancy subtlety and the stripes of this chemise can be a little to bold for my liking but I did wear it anyways. Self-contradiction does take you into an interesting ailleurs but my stubornness often stands in the way but it's interesting that way. It's as delightful as talking about healthy living as I smoke Marlboro reds one after the other at a légèrement alarming pace.

Dressing Like Jimmy

Well, in retrospect, I have quite a certain fondness towards Jimmy Dean in me. I spent countless nights dreamy over the pages of Dennis Stock's James Dean: Fifty Years ago and found myself dans les pas de Jett Rink dans Géant de George Stevens (and almost totally forgot that the leading role was Rock Hudson comme Jordan Benedict). Other than that he is my ultimate icon for beau sale gosse à l'américaine. So, it induced a good kind of nostalgie on my behalf the moment GQ France did this editorial. 

Hair Like Edouard Baer

Now, now, now, in typical Gemini fashion, I suddenly want to have long hair having a bit of envy seeing Edouard Baer's coiffure in this image. A bit earlier, I think I was talking about my Michael Stipe-like coiffure as something I'm sticking too. I guess this sort of bi-polarity, indecesiveness, frivolity, or whatever you may call it could at times be most entertaining and exciting aspect concerning a Gemini's life. Perhaps I should enjoy trying more hairstyles while my hair is more robust because it might be a different histoire in twenty years or so. But above all things, the aesthetic of une certaine tendance towards beau sale gosse would have its hand with these sort of thoughts I'm currently having.

Fresh from a trip to my trusty art supplies shop here in Manille called Deovir. Nothing could be more exciting than going home with new brushes, a new can of fixative, and new tubes of paint!!!!

Fervour for Loafers

For the jeune homme who has gotten so accustomed to leaving his house sans chaussettes, loafers are quite the necessity. And when necessities projects themselves to an ailleurs that borders on the nec plus ultra, I would see myself immensely lusting over these loafers. Bien entendu, it should be time to skip the modesty and program myself to opulence as my mode d'opération. And in my time of escapism, I'd think these loafers would quite be conducive to me imagining myself once more in the garde-robe of Jean-Paul (Alain Delon) dans La Piscine de Jacques Deray. In any case, some things hold on a clearer stratum, one is that I've always wanted a pair of leopard print loafers and another would be the true luxury to be found in décontraction chic... and such loafers would be quite the indulgence. D'ailleurs, I think I need new fancy and opulent loafers to inculcate to my quotidien.
